List of possible solutions for the Aion America Launcher and Game Client

First steps (required)

First of all it is necessary to download and install all the software listed below, even if you are sure that it is already installed on your computer.

  • DirectX: After download, run the file and choose a folder to unpack. Then open the unpacked folder and run DXSETUP.
  • Microsoft Visual C++: Download and install the required components (see Download page).
  • .NET Framework: Download and install (see Download page).
If you installed all programs above, restart your computer and internet router, then open the launcher and click on Check to repair your game. Usually a PC + router restart solves most problems.

Possible solutions

a) Delete the folders bin32, bin64 and repair the client with the launcher.
b) You may be using extra routers, or a firewall is blocking aion.bin processes/ports. Add aion.bin to exceptions and allow TCP ports.

a) Disable your anti-virus (better uninstall it for some time) and check for changes.
b) The server is offline (probably under maintenance).
c) You have an internet problem.

a) Run a File Check with the launcher.

a) Delete folders /L10N, bin32, bin64 and all files in the game folder (only files, not folders). Then check the game with the launcher.

a) Run the launcher as administrator.
b) Disable anti-virus / add launcher folder to exceptions.
c) Make sure the game folder is not in a protected path (like Program Files).

a) Install all prerequisites (DirectX, VC++, .NET).
b) Delete bin32 and bin64 and run File Check.

a) Unblock the launcher and files (Right click → Properties → Unblock).
b) Make sure your anti-virus is not quarantining launcher files.
